This one isn't too flattering.................
I love the car, the front in the picture is still a bit to be desired, nonetheless a gorgeous car. The interior is awesome; it will be much better looking with the sport seats. I would have liked to see the leds on top of the wheel just like the Enzo, why not! I am sure with the performance numbers mentioned above, this car will be one hot Ferrari on the street and on the track. Can't wait to drive one.
I am surprised how much I like it. I really, really like it. All F-Cars should have Testarossa mirrors! I want one!!!
Side note: With the high level of computer graphic design technology these days, I fail to see why Ferrari's official press photos continue to look so cartoonish and unlike a photograph of an actual automobile.
Visually, I like it. I don't like the idea of carbon brakes without an option to take the iron brakes. Pad and rotor replacement costs are just way too high for me. Gary
IMO: front looks GOOD side view looks cluttered rear view looks VERY cluttered & disjointed side mirrors with F430 logo is VERY gay & blingy air scoops mounted on rear haunches look like tacky add-ons are the carbon brakes standard? if so, that is BAD news
IMO, little unsure. Love the Enzo back, the front still looks like the 360, disappointed with that, thought it would look more enzo like in the front somehow. All in all good, interior and rear and sides are perfect. The front still bugs me.
A couple of neat details from the high res photos (26 meg's worth downloaded from owners.ferrari.com). 1. New Scrolley-wheeley race/sport selector. 2. Airbag defeat for passenger airbag. Not on my 360 or CS and I assume new, or was this previously another Euro but not US thing? Spot the man who's 3 year old can't understand why he can't ride in the car... Apparently, the Carbon brakes are optional, as quoted from the owners site: The F430 hails the arrival of a new generation of Ferrari 8-cylinder engines. The new model takes Ferraris extraordinary achievements with aluminium construction technology, which started with the 360 Modena, to a whole new level and offers a series of extremely significant innovations directly derived from the Prancing Horses Formula 1 single-seaters. Two of these innovations are world firsts for production cars: the electronic differential (E-DIFF) initially developed by Ferrari for its F1 single-seaters but now adapted to the needs of a high performance road car, and the steering wheel-mounted commutator switch (better known to the Scuderias drivers as the manettino) which the driver uses to select the integrated systems governing vehicle dynamics. The other main characteristics of the new Ferrari F430 are its light, compact 4,300cc 90° V8 engine which punches out 490 hp to achieve a specific horse power of 114 bhp/litre, guaranteeing the new Ferrari berlinetta a weight-to-power ratio of 2.8 kg/hp (dry weight); a braking system with optional carbon-ceramic discs for optimal efficiency even after severe and prolonged braking; a Formula 1-derived gearbox that cuts gear shifting times to 150 milliseconds, allowing the driver to make the very most of a truly high performance car (0-100 km/h acceleration in four seconds flat, a top speed in excess of 315 km/h); and lastly, sophisticated aerodynamics that adopt the very latest racing developments, especially in terms of the flat underbody and big rear diffuser to increase downforce.
Reading and re-reading the rest of this excerpt carefully it sounds like this is going to be an F1 only model. No thanks.

Another small thing - LC is included on the F430... Plus the key is the enzo/cs key... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I know I'm being geeky with the details here... but redline is 8500. My guess on belts/chains is the same as the Maserati 4.2. Anyone confirm what that has? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I doubt they would go with chains. There may be other reasons but they are both heavy and more expensive than regular belts. Did they ever have chains?
The more i see this car the more i love it. I think This is ganna be the Ferrari i will buy in the future....
Here's some more close up's.I like the carbon on the dash. Those tail lights are bound to impress. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
