I think the lusso is one of the most fabulous, glamorous and elegant Ferraris. Please post lusso pics here. Here is 5679gt after a 50 mile drive. Wow the car is great when it's hot. Image Unavailable, Please Login
For me the Lusso is most certainly among the most prettiest Ferrari ever made. It would be in my top 3 prettiest Ferrari of all time along with the SWB, and perhaps the LWB Cal spyder or the S1 250 Cabriolet covered headlights. In terms of elegance the Lusso is very very hard to beat. Stunning color Mark! Best Edmond
+1 Silver is incredible. Wow, that paint looks good. With the lusso I find myself trying to imagine what kind of glamorous journeys each car might have done back in the day...
A few I have bumped in to on my travels...in the auction room, on the race track, on the concours field, at a hill climb, on the roads. I disagree respectfully! Silver does NOT look good on a Lusso. A Lusso must be either a nice burgundy red or a dark blue like the first picture. Best Edmond
Edmund, I think I am with you on that one; but whether we agree or disagree, the fact remains that Batista has already decided that silver gray is the best color for the Lusso. Whatever color the car makes its debut in is typcally the best color for that car. john
John- what do you mean 'makes its debut'? You mean what it is born with i.e. the original colour? Sure I probably agree. Its not the silver is a bad color I just think there better colours. I also think they are worse. Like the typical Ferrari red. Thats a killer for Lusso. Even if that was original I would change the color without hesitation
Hi Edmond, by debut, I mean the first time the car is revealed to the public. Isn't the first car the one w/o foglights? john

the fish eye can be an abused lens. It only works in certain circumstances. In this case, the front end of the Lusso really lends itself to this angle. my understanding is that this black Lusso was incredibly original with only 2300 miles. Evidently it is consulted for restorations to figure out what is the correct configuration. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
To me, the Lusso is THE Gentleman's GT car. The one all others must be compared to, past, present or future. I love it. The first car in this thread is perfect! Not that I'd complain about any of the others... No sir...
Thanks, I like your last photo, it belongs in the other thread, "Vintage Ferraris out an about". john

The Lusso is beautiful no matter what color you paint it.... There are no "bad" colors for a Lusso...
This is my favorite Lusso, 5099. I understand P. Russell did this in the original exterior color, but not the original interior color. I do not know the name of the color, nor do I think another one like it ever exisited. john Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, fantastic color. Paul Russell photographs of the original verde interior: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
