Image Unavailable, Please Login Great to see #0895gt with the great team at Wide World for spring fluids check and chassis greasing. Picture even better because the new 812 is lurking in the background. TdF home tomorrow and 812 coming home on Thursday.

It is said this is an original Scaglietti body never used before but exposed some time ago as a shell in a museum.
Anyone has pictures from museum bare shell period?

Well known replica. Roof section, wheel arches, front and front grille, rear fender line, etc.
Various owners have been trying to "improve" the history of the car……………..by claiming it is an original period body……………

    Incorrect.
Nobody was killed in that TDF.
One of the early owners, Ettore Chimeri, was killed in ANOTHER car while he owned this TDF.
As for the engine, yes, it is correct and original and matching and the car is factory certified as well (4 June 2014).
There is nothing wrong with this TDF.
May I suggest to not believe or follow all the stupid information that can be found on the internet.

It doesn't say the fatal accident was on 1037GT:
60/mar/02 - fatal accident, GP Cuba - Ettore Chimeri
according to NSSN p11 60/mar/02 it was a Maserati 3.0 in practice

Ettore Chimeri was killed in Ferrari 250 TR #0726 TR (owned at the time by Lino Fayen):
Accompanied by Lino Fayen’s French mechanic, Droux, Chimeri went to Havana for the Cuban Grand Prix. On the 27th February 1960 Ferrari #0726 TR was extensively damaged in practice for the Cuban Grand Prix at the Circuito Ciudad Libertad, Cuba, driver Chimeri killed. 36-year old Chimeri, race #12, was killed at the end of the trials on Saturday. He went straight off at the end of the main straight and ended up in a ravine about 100 meters from the course. Car tumbled several times and he was thrown out the first time over. The Ferrari exploded on impact and was upside down. Rescue workers could not even get to it for some time. License plate was AE 4387 (VEN 1959). This was the day before the race, because it rained heavily before the race.
