Apologies, I meant to write in my previous post "yet an assembly line factory photo of an LM shows a CONCAVE spinner that looks to have the hand logo." (I suggest the hand logo in this case because of the bowl shape of the concave center. The first LM in the line.)

Did Jack Maurice have the plate 'JM 102' for a green 1973 Daytona coupe? Looks like a different plate for the 275.

JM 265, which was also on 250 LM #6105 when Jack Maurice owned it.

Steve, I could not be interested any less... , and I will not show you anything that I do not know anything about.

It is only a 'public service announcement'. If you like it good, if not...,
and please, don't start your: "he's picking on me".

Here's a pict taken by my father (John D. Cuccio) of 10245 at Daytona 1968 with my mom and I. I sat sideways behind the seats, and we'd drive from Westport, CT. I believe the car was born a very light blue with black interior. My father had it painted red almost as soon as he got it, and as usual began hot rodding it with the help of Nereo Iori. The car my dad had before this was '64 GTO #5573 he bought from Bob Grossman who strongly advised him to keep it for obvious reasons, but 'Uncle Luigi' convinced him to sell it and buy 10245, as it was more 'practical' as a daily driver. I think my father actually sold 5573 back to Bob. The second pict is 5573 at my father's office, 1 Bridge Square, Westport CT. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Per factory dox 10245 was born Rosso Chiaro 20-R-190 with Nero VM 8500 interior.
Full leather seats and leather covered steering wheel, instruments in miles, and gb ratio 7/32.

In January 1969 it was advertised for sale in the Ferrari Club of America magazine "Prancing Horse", issue #21, by Cuccio & Chieda, Inc., Westport/CT, asking price US$ 11'500.

It may have been listed in the Car and Driver classified section, the same issue in which it was featured in the Italy vs. England $64,000 road test(Sept.1968).
    Going from memory here.

At the link below I posted photos of the 275 GTB/4 chassis number 09539 which a few days ago participated in the 24th Concours d'elegance Trofeo Salvarola Terme near Modena.
I also posted photos of other cars participating.

My uncle, David Hackett, owned Hackett Imported Cars which was right down the street from your father's office in Westport. I was a very young mechanic and would rush outside each time your Dad drove his Ferrari Daytona to the Post Office which was next door to our shop.
He ran what might be considered an open exhaust and the sound was incredible especially when he was under the I95 underpass, the sound echoed and made my blood boil. Many years later I worked with Iori and drove him to Westport to visit your father. Iori was my Mentor and great friend, everything I did with him was a learning experience.
I recently was chatting with Sam Brown who told me he sold your father the Daytona and took the 275 GTB in trade. It was a very different time. Thanks for sharing the great photos, I knew #5573 when Bob Donner owned it.

06611 freshly restored and painted in its original Rosso 19374 M, earlier today at its first outing post-restoration. Current owner prefers outside laced wheels. This early 275 GTB shortnose has always remained in Swiss ownership from new.

Here are some picts of 375+'s aforementioned $64,000 Road Test article with 10245. I actually skimmed all 115 pages of this thread to make sure they were not posted already! As you can see, it did very well if you look at the stats. I did not know 10245 had the low rear-end gear ratio, but it explains a lot! And in the classified of that issue - the for sale ad is not in it. MM is correct, and I remember the photo for the ad. It was taken in the dry-stall area for Lightnings (our other passion) at Cedar Point Yacht Club in Westport, CT. And, Bertocchi - great story! I remember Hackett Imported Cars well. Francois was working with Sam at the time across the street, and still loves to tell that story of my Dad in the Daytona (14163) under the I-95 bridge. Said it sounded like an F1 car! Such great times *sigh*
