Its the first green that looks good on one. I did notice in the picture of the right front wheel how much height above the wheel there really is on a stock car. You can fit a whole fist above that tire. Needs to be lowered about an inch I'd say.

Hummm..$30,000, maybe I am not so much a contrarian after all. Only Ferrari could get away with that... gotta love 'em.

Any idea which shade of green the F12 was painted? It doesn't look like the Verde Abetone which is what someone suggested...

The yellow one could maybe work with different colours is blu pozzi instead of yellow and White instead of black. Yellow and black clash against each other on large segments as opposed to using one or the other for highlights.

    Matt black F12.

This is not a wrap but painted by the factory.

The nicest optioned F12 I have seen IMO.

I will try and post a few more shots later.

Looks like primer. Ugh. And my high-end body shop tells me that trying to match the matte paint while fixing small scratches, dings, etc. is very hard. You are much, much better off getting a matte wrap instead of factory paint, he said. And I guess for future resale too.

Could not agree more. I think it is hard to improve on this design, and not at all sure that VS has done that.

I know that Ferrari has settled into a regular, predictable schedule of upgrades and enhancements and model cycles, as they explain explicitly in the IPO prospectus.

But I wonder if they shouldn't step back and recognize when they've really managed to get the balance just right, and have achieved something really special.

Don't commoditize your own product in the name of adhering invariably to a "strategy."

Agree, from what i've seen the vs spoils the purity of the regular f12...why mess with perfection

I understand where you're coming from but when Ferrari launched the 550 in 1996 most commentators thought its design was boring/bland, and worse, in some detailed areas unnecessarily fussy. In fact one gave it the ultimate insult and thought it was more Toyota (Supra) than Ferrari. Today the 550 is anything but bland, it's beautiful and becoming more elegant with each passing year. Similarly the F50, which with hard top on, is aging very well IMO. Some F designs are instant hits, but like fine wine most need time to be properly enjoyed :)

Wasn't saying anything against the VS, just noting that the F12 is an extraordinarily tough act to follow.

Read yesterday that Ferrari is changing its manufacturing model to embrace a modular approach that allows it to base multiple production vehicles off a common platform, in order to reduce cost and accelerate development time. For example a common platform could accommodate either a front or mid engine with minimal tweaks. Reportedly the first car based on the new platform will be the '17 California replacement. If true, that kind of tells you the way things are going.

It looks great. This is dumb question, does it still look matte if its wet?
