Bingo. I think dark rims take away from the looks of a car, verses adding. Every time I see dark rims, the first thought that passes through my head is "Must be too lazy to wash the rims". But, to each is own.

Wow some people are a bit overly sensitive, it's not that wild of an opinion - I must say I regrettably have dark rims on my FF and I could not hate them more - strips a lot of the class from the car :-(

 

More like gray than black on those wheels in the image. Sort of a 'swiss middle of the road' choice.
The problem with black wheels is no real contrast with the tire color plus the wheel design details become lost in a black void of nothing.
Silver wheels however salute the design efforts of the manufacturer much more effectively!

You are correct, they are grey (and hideous) indeed. She came with them, and knowing this is a short-term hold, I didn't want to spend an extra dime on her. Standard, or at most diamond-finish, is the only way I like f-cars

The F12 is basically a beautiful car, no matter which car color, no matter if with silvery, gray or black rims.
Its design is extremely strong and stable, the proportions are well balanced, many details are convincing and produce a well-rounded picture.

The limitation of this car on a few colors with silver rims is not corresponding to the potential of this car and is also not fair to the broad fan base of the F12. This car is always convincing, no matter or classically elegant or hyper-sporty.

My favorite combination: Grigio Silverstone with black five-star rims, black calipers and a dark grey interior. Are there any pictures available?

 

Well said. Not a weak spot in the car and the most beautiful platform out there. A brilliant Ferrari/PF combination with a locomotive for an engine.

In point of fact, black rims can and do look very stylish and appropriate depending on how the rest of the car is kitted out.

 

Yes excellent post. I agree. I generally don't like black wheels but, at least when it comes to my opinion, I've learned to be careful to say "always". There have been some times when I think black wheels work very well.
