From my experience , the car just seems to have that much more urgency when shifting through the gears and getting to the red line, don't get me wrong in stock mode the car is no slouch, however, it wasn't giving me a faster sense of speed than the Aventador in stock mode.

With the ECU upgrade (power now out at around 770hp) the car feels that much more alive, especially more so in race mode, you can get a sense that in reality the power upgrade is just too much for the rear tyres too handle, as even on a hot summer day you can feel the back end sliding when you are driving spiritedly, but for me i wouldn't have it any other way.

In this day and age is 770 really practical and advisable, probably not, but hey at the end of the day its what makes me happy and i love every minute of driving this incredible machine and thats what ultimately, that you are able to enjoy what you have been blessed with and are able to enjoy in good health!!

Wow, the colour looks amazing in some pictures! Which red is it???

I have to say that I very much prefer the gold wheels to the black ones, so great mod, too.

However the painted rear I'm not so sure of, maybe if the side sills were also red instead of CF...

Thanks Garretto! The colour is Rosso Fuoco.

I wasn't really sure if the gold wheels would work either but mentally i just thought it would click and am glad that they turned out the way they did, otherwise it would have ended up being a very expensive nightmare!!

CF mainly just to breakup the car, i didn't want red everywhere as thought it would have been too much overkill....

Nice spec! The adv 1 in gold matches very well. These are SL series with reduced weight, right? I've them too on my F12 with full novitec carbon parts on front and rear.
The novitec carbon matches the Ferrari oem carbon (i.e. front sword) 100 %

Do you have the full novitec exhaust with xpipe and race cats or only the rear cans?

Enjoy your car and see you in London.

Thanks for the info! I really appreciate it. As far as being advisable- its a 730hp Ferrari to begin with! Liberating some more power sounds like fun! :)

Thanks! Yes, SL series, exhaust is back box only....didnt go for the x-pipe and race cats as feel its loud enough with just the back box.

Using the F12 as a daily driver, I can say the car is already way overpowered. If you are just using on perfect days and/or on the track, then who cares, more power is probably more fun!

You are absolutely correct, I can't put my foot down and not worry about loosing control or jumping over the car in front of me.

The power is hardly usable on public roads, anything more will need to be explored on track.

I think more is not always more..

I will be using it just on perfect days. I will drive it purely stock at first to see what I think. :)

Hey there, I like your excitement about your car, when is it arriving? Can you share color and specs?

Are not concerned that the life cycle is ending soon?

I'm loving mine, but not happy that I got into it so late in the life cycle, depreciation is going to be massive for the car in my market.

Blu Pozzi/ Cuoio. I know about depreciation but I am simply accepting it, and later builds tend to hold value a little better. I know the financial side is very important but you could say its my second priority. My first priority is to become an F12 owner.

If the F12 refresh is really amazing and I fall in love with that, then I will have to consider my options.

    I can't wait!

yes a few not sure if i can remember them all but here it goes:
    - engine light and reduced performance, traced back to blocked air filters (i.e. they hadn't been changed enough, i think especially during winter driving)
    - failure of every single system (manettino abs, avh failure etc) and drove home in limp mode, traced to one of the rear wheel speed sensors. the info from that sensor feeds all systems like abs etc so car basically shuts down. apparently it's the same part in the 458 and they have only seen it fail once.
    - 2 weeks later had identical issue with sensor on the other side. amazing how you feel the love from other drivers when you are doing 32 mph on the freeway.
    - multiple errors for electrical system, random explanations from dealer that didn't necessairly make sense, ultimately by stopping and restarting goes away.
    - often after hard driving in the cold, if i stop (e.g. to get gas) and then restart i get an "electrical failure". then turn off the car and on most of the time it goes away, if not it goes away the following morning on start up.
    - other usual stuff - replaced the battery, chewed up a few sets of summer and winter tires, windshield wiper blades. i drove into a conrcrete parking stop and broke the front black sword thing and replaced that (around $1,500 from memory).

I feel like there was some other stuff too but i don't remember off the top of my head.
To be honest don't have a huge amount of confidence in the electrical systems. No other modern car that I have seems to be as quirky.

With my F12 I have done 19'000 kms so far, in less than two years. I have had absolutely zero problems, except perhaps twice the "electrical failure" sign on the display. But that disappears after a re-start. Generally, it would be great if that battery were stronger, car has to be on the battery tender all the time to be on the safe side. I slightly scratched a rim on a curb, near Maranello, while spotting/chasing some LF prototype. But that was well worth it!
