Here are some new pictures of my F12 lowered with Forgeline 20 and 21inch wheels installed. Tires are Michelin 325/25-21 and 265/30-20. Also have my ipe exhaust installed. I think it is the best sounding car I've ever heard! On the 6th of March 2012, almost seven years ago, the F12 Berlinetta was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. Some pictures from that day. Don't know for sure or cannot remember but it was bigger than the Amalgam 1:8 scaled models. Marcel Massini
Seven days... I can't believe it , I remember it like it was yesterday, there was a strong rumor the car was going to be called the 620 GT, @ingegnere awesome sketch... seven years... no no that's not possible
FWIW this was S/N 186615. There was also a matt silver one with S/N 186617, also on the Ferrari stand. And on the Pininfarina stand they had a black metallic F12 mock-up. Marcel Massini
Many sketches were made and rejected during the development of the F12 Berlinetta until a final version was achieved. The revolutionary aerobridges, introduced by Franco Cimatti (not in the design team last picture below) who was responsible for Pininfarina studies and concepts and also the Kamm tail, made the F12 an unique and appealing design. Thank you for the interesting design process photos. I hadn’t seen some of these. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wow! Thank you all of this. Dreamy stuff....stuff of legends IMO. For some reason I cannot explain it excites me more than the current lineup. Great to see LDM presenting!
Curious why in last picture with design team the car doesn’t have a pininfarina badge. You’d think that would be intentionally present as a statement of pride.
If I remember correctly, FDC did most of the design and PF did the rear? My wild guess is maybe they hadn't yet finished working on the car in the picture (it could be a full scale mock up its hard to tell) and maybe it was just a spur of the moment pic.
It is a full mock-up, not a real car. Note that the Ferrari badge is also just added on top and not in the fender. Marcel Massini
