I am not sure but think it was the same car they presented at the Geneva motor show. Whereas I do not like silver cars in general I think this silver F12 really looks good IMO. The car looks better in flesh than in the pictures IMO. But it is a huge car. My 575M is huge compared to the Cayman of my wife but is a much small car compared to the F12berlinetta. The most impressing thing was the trunk/boot where the question is not if you can place a golf bag in it but how many there will fit. I did not know that you sell Ferraris via the trunk but the dealer opened the trunk every few minutes to show somebody how large it is (it was even more important than the engine compartment - no just kidding). All in all I think it is a nice looking car but it is huge. But for me it is more important how a car drives than how it looks. Unfortunately I could not find out (test). Markus
And thanks for the compliment! I was amazed by the pictures as well because they were just taken with my iPhone. Markus
Thanks for all the pictures. The F12 is the most beautiful 12 cyl. Ferrari since the Testarossa (yes I'm a kid of the 80's!). I know what I'm saying is a little controversial, but it took me years to start appreciating the 550/575, then even longer with the 599, but the F12 is an instant hit for me. So many complex curves, and the lip around the rear bringing back 275 GTB/4 lines is just stunning. Keep the pictures coming!
Gisi Where in Switzerland did you take these pictures? Is this somewhere near Zug? Mine were taken at the presentation at Foitek in Urdorf/Zurich. Markus
Great pics! Thanks! Nics seeing shots of the car in natural light and surroundings. Loving it more and more... GT
You would think it would be Rosso Berlinetta but other photos and the configurator show that to be much more orange, closer to Rosso Scuderia. It could be Rosso Fiorano but it looks more like the tri layer Rosso Maranello with low light exposure.
Saw this one in the Atelier at Maranello last week - stunning colour, forgotten what red but I can check with the Atelier guy on Monday. David
I saw the same car when I was there last month its a little deeper but with some metallic flake in it. defintily not a Rosso Fiorano.
Here is a rendition of Rosso Maranello courtesy of jazzo (Onno) in a previous thread. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=141320653&highlight=rosso+maranello#post141320653
Found a nice album of pics (not mine) on Facebook of the Barcelona presentation. Some interesting shots.. especially one close in shot looking UP thru the aero bridge... https://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/media/set/?set=a.10150804093710633.386803.154233895632&type=3 GT
Haven't been on in a while and just saw this pic for the first time, was this from the F12 preview? (I'm assuming) Or did you go back again? That's great, I can't imagine how exciting that was! Hope you're doing well. Take care. Mark
coolio .. but why do they still have F12's running around with camouflage .. it isn't like we don't know what it looks like?
I was at the factory a few days ago and saw at least three F12s heading out to be road tested. They don't look as large in person as they do in some photos. I can't say I was bowled over by first impressions but it did have a "presence" about it. I guess time will tell. Somehow I think Ferrari's styling department is slightly weak overall. Out of recent offerings i think the 458 is probably a 8, the F12 a 7, the California a 5, and the FF a 4 (out of 10). Lamborghini - albeit appealing to a slightly different customer - seems to have a top notch design department that really reflects "Italian-ese" in their offerings (ie. Aventador). It seems like designs post 355 or even 360 have been on the weak side IMO.
