Thank you, but since that post and just prior to the factory shut down, I asked my dealer to lobby the factory yet again to get an earlier build slot on the basis it was 100% their fault I could not confirm the colour for 4 months and just as well I insisted on a sample seeing as how they would otherwise have painted the car the wrong colour, and so it was not fair from being a July build to just add four months of their delay and have it ready for November.

Amazingly, they seem to have responded and I am now told an early September slot as of a few days ago, but that might well have been just to shut my dealer up so they could go on holiday.

Fingers crossed and more known in a months time.

I almost selected this color but went with Rosso Maranello and seeing this pics makes me "almost" wish I did. The tdf looks outstanding in these pictures!

    Olivier,

Although my dealer told me, when I paid the down payment, that my TDF to be produced sometime in this second quarter; however, I don't know my delivery schedule and even don't know production status since my dealer hasn't got any updated info. from Ferrari. While expecting my TDF, I really enjoy the driving experience of F12 thankfully.

Once you'll be behind the wheel of your 780hp beast driving like mad through the gloucestershire all of this will be forgotten.. the wait.. the too early sale of your F12

Not really, but hopefully all that counts is the running total, that is you make more good decisions than bad. Actually, it's a really first world problem as I really haven't missed it as I have been out of the country a lot so it's no real issue. However, there is that wonderful warm feeling about knowing its sitting there in the garage, at the bottom of the garden.........

You are right. I have always maintained that part of the joy of new Ferrari ownership is the journey, warts and all. From first rumours, to snatched photos, to leaks and more rumours, first factory photos, the launch, performance data, first drives, full reviews, specing your car, the trip to the factory, the delays, the irritation, the waiting, the highs and lows, no other company can create a situation whereby the journey itself is almost as much fun as the arrival.

Which always looks great on these cars, hence why my M will be back in my comfort zone.
