I think later summer Jacques. Really don't want an early car as more options might become available and now booked to do Tailor Made in Feb so the journey continues...... You?
Thank you but too dark for my preference at this time. I have several triple layer Ferrari's and ideally the tdf will be one as well. I was hoping to learn of a triple layer blue closer to tour de france blue BUT with triple layer paint quality.
When I inquired about the 488 Spider, I was told the new metallic RC was tri layer. I was of the impression that the F1 2007 was a tri layer too?
"Blue California" 3 layers and near to blue TDF. http://images.google.fr/imgres?imgurl=https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3901/14644269876_b9df3387a7_b.jpg&imgrefurl=https://www.flickr.com/photos/rushinroulette/14644269876&h=683&w=1024&tbnid=RCuECeYDtbSSlM:&docid=W6079yyl_VOwrM&ei=iINPVsv_LsH6asmNlYAB&tbm=isch&iact=rc&uact=3&page=1&start=0&ved=0ahUKEwjL47bG7J_JAhVBvRoKHclGBRAQrQMILzAE
I may be wrong... I did remember about 2 layer paint for rosso corsa met (see as Blu Corsa for GTS)... Regarding Rosso F1 2007 I was aware as well is triple-layer paint, then when speeching TDF in Maranello I've been told by the lady at the configurator it is a 4 layer paint... I was surprised as well Same discussion here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/458-italia-488/383719-what-rosso-458-a-2.html Maybe they do just explain this justifying higher price for Rosso F1 2007 than triple-layer yellow for example... Really don't know
For what's it's worth I've been told explicitly that the tdf will NOT have follow on options. This came from a Ferrari rep in a credible position and NOT a sales person.
Mine was scheduled in March but my dealer told me this week it is status 30. So I guess it will be there sometimes in January. Not a good period to test such a car... Tailor made... Although I took the straight and simple line, I fully understand your choice!
Very exciting but as you say, not the best of timing as this car apparently does not appreciate cold tyres-good luck! It's been a difficult period so the male equivalent of Retail Therapy beckons and what better opportunity?
I can't wait for the cars to start being delivered so we get behind this: Well Miss Canelloni of tailor made recommended the blue Chanel of my wife's jacket and the a leather to match the Chanel handbag and the middle pinstripe in the color of our favorite pets neckband! I added 50 KG of options back in the car to make it slower. Come on guys. It's all about peddle to the metal and driving. This is the meanest Ferrari to come out of Maranello since the F40. Razor blade handling a real mans car! Difficult to drive on the limit. Let's celebrate that for a while. After all we are drivers and not hair sylists!
Sorry? Is there a problem trying to spec your car exactly as you want it given as a)it is a substantial investment and b) likely you will be looking at it for many years? Discussing options and alternatives with other like minded individuals is also informative and may well affect your own choices. We can share our driving experiences once we have some to share.
Sure you can but that's about all that's being spoken about. Many publications have had first drives of the car and there are many issues positive and some negatived raised on the car. Don't hear much about that. Some of the contributions here would fit better to a Bentley or Rolls Royce thread. But it reflects the nature of the buyers. I am surprised that there are still people who have not finalized the spec. The first cars are going to customers in the next two weeks. But I certainly acknowledge you are free to share what ever you want. For me this is gonna be one wild machine. Can't wait to see it go up against the 675 LT.
very nice post! the more i see the tdf the more i think it should not have the livery stripe...thanks again for the post!
Bigthree- you should start a technical thread and you'll have others who want to discuss that topic specifically in your new thread. This thread presently, and until more actual pictures of the tdf are posted is about the conception thru completion of the tds aesthetics. As you can already see the FCHAT members that routinely visit this thread fully enjoy speculating the design of the car as we already appreciate the technical aspects of the tdf. Cheers!
I hope you dont mind, and if so, i will delete the post, but i wanted people to not overlook YOUR pictures of the amazing bianco tdf so i am posting the actual images of your instagram page which you already offered in your post. Cheers! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Be BRAVE and original folks, try Grigio Abu Dhabi, looks white, silver, cream, beige, very deep (and expensive). Mine has semi aniline Testa do Moro leather, again fabulous. Be original, the TDF deserves it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
