All makes sense now. I assume S913 and S914 refer to the body shells made by Carrozzeria Scaglietti. Some kinda of body shell serial number?

You have been talking about my car all along so let me fill in some gaps. The paint code sicker reads "Alluminio Grezzo Spazolato"

My body shell took over a month to be made and would not surprise me if it was the last one made. However it is not the last TDF built. it's build date listed on the door is August 2017 and it proceeded the car Marcel photographed in Azzurro Dino down the assembly line. In fact when he took the pictures of that last TDF on the line, mine was in the Finishing Department or the Paint Department. It left the factory around October 1 and was received by the dealer here in Arizona in late November.

The body shell you put on Instagram is definitely not my body shell. Take a close look as you can see body filler around the hood vents. As for the picture you posted here, can't see well enough. Having said all this I did opt for the Ferrari phonebook through Tailor Made so someday I will have the actual build photos.

So to sum up - Yes, you are talking about my car. No, it's not based on a classic GT. Yes, it is one of the last TDFs and I have been told so by Ferrari. No, it is definitely not the last made. I'll share the assembly number and VIN will Marcel and he can sort it out. When I saw my car on September 11, I was told that roughly ten TDFs were still at the factory and as of now, they are all done. Finished.

We sort of came up with Rosso Mugello as the paint name. Marcel knows this tdF and confirms that is indeed the correct paint color name.
    With thanks to Marcel!

In a previous post I pointed out that I felt the fuel filler cap didn't match the the aerodynamic lines of the body. This picture captures what I meant. It is a beautiful cap but why couldn't it have been sculpted to follow the fender line in a more tidy way? As I said earlier, the tdf is a thing of beauty and congrats to all of the fortunate owners. Keep the pictures coming!

Mate I think you are missing Challenge64s hint. We appreciate your passion for tdf but take some time to respect the owners and work with them and you will build the right relationships. If someone asks you not to post something of theirs than don't as you become paparazzi instead of being a respected journalist. You may get less views but you might build something for the long term. You are obviously young blood but there are guys on here that have spent over a half a century or more owning or following Ferraris so just take a bit of time to respect that.

The extra height of the filler cap is there for convenience and to protect the paint from possible damage when in use.

Would you like to tell us more about this titanium cap? What is the difference with the original one (pictures welcome!)? I am tempted to go for it but haven't seen it in the metal so I'm wondering if it really adds something!

Sure. The original cap was always to me ''just ok''. It was the first and only disappointing item on my car. Lacked the drama I expected. Some months later I received a marketing email from Ferrari announcing their after market Titanium cap. I thought yes, sounds perfect. Is it? It’s a pain to keep clean and of course wasn’t cheap. But it looks great and I wouldn’t dream of putting the original back; frankly it is what should have been on the car from the beginning. Here’s a pic of it.

Ian's picture is a close up view of the cap in question and perhaps shows more detail. It appears to be a thing of beauty with that finish.
