Thank you! Never quite sure so important to know what people think. Was thinking perhaps grigio wheels rather than current bright gloss but want to stay as close to the original as possible.
Sharp! Yes, body color wheels, or close. And no shields, depending on how accurate you care to be ... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Per the shields, well spotted! It's a (nice) headache at the moment, you're absolutely right of course, but those wonderful shields........
Your car looks great. RE: shields. How about asking them to make you two sets of those side pieces where the shields mount. One with the shields, the other without. I'm not sure how tricky those are to install but I'm taking a guess its not too complicated. I know they make switchable panels for the F12berlinetta. On the wheels, I agree the standard wheels look very good and I think the front wheel is just being rendered too bright. One other idea is to see if they could do a custom finish that would render the darker areas of the diamond finish wheels a little lighter. The spokes being Argento color would stand out a bit more like the spokes on the vintage Borrani wheels. Either way congratulations!!!
Agreed, you should totally get 2 sets of aerobridges. I bought an extra set for my F12 with no shields and it was easy for the dealer to switch them. Unfortunately the parts come unpainted and the titanio wasn't matched perfectly on my car so that was annoying. You should order them with the car and get them to paint them at the same time as the rest of the car as they would then be a perfect match. The extra aerobridges seemed relatively inexpensive if you live an a world of $3,500 carbon fibre cupholders, they were something like $1,800 each unpainted.
I just finalised my spec for my TDF. I have chosen something completely different to what has been discussed here. Nero Daytona (metallic black) with all the mesh grill/s GRIGIO CORSA MATT (matt silver) to match the wheels. Yellow brake calipers to match the side shields or as Ferrari call them fender logo's. Black leather interior. (I believe leather cleans and wears better than alcantara.) and silver stitching and silver horses to match the interior silver air vents etc. Yellow rev counter to match the yellow steering wheel badge. I don't believe 3 colours on a car work or on the interior. 2 colours always classy in my view. Perhaps this is more stealthy as opposed to "loud", I prefer that.
Sounds very nicely aggressive. Only question for me is yellow calipers? Given the stealth strategy won't the calipers scream look at me? Whatever, enjoy.
