I guess the final panel, special or not, is simply missing. To be attached after washing.

I'm seeing "regular" Rosso Corsa though the lighting in the first pic makes the colour indeed look a bit darker towards the back of the car. I've been wrong before and I'm sure I'll be wrong again but that's what I see.

As to the black covering the rear panel ahead of the rear wheel, anything is possible! I've noticed that the cars out for their shakedown road tests have varying degrees of coverage over vulnerable areas.

I definitely see metallic accents in the first pic but it is true that the other 2 pics look like plain rosso corsa. There is a link to a flickr gallery in the 458 Speciale picture thread where I was confused about the same car looking metallic in one set and then looking plain rosso corsa in another set:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/143130084-post172.html

    https://www.flickr.com/photos/czd72/sets/72157636584112255/with/14204681872/

Turns out that the "tricolore" Speciale is painted Rosso F1 2007 though in most overcast pics looks like plain rosso corsa. In the sunny pics you need to try hard but there is definitely a metallic shine. To me, very possibly the same thing is going on with this LaFerrari.

I think the panel is simply taped-over on this car.

But there is also some indication of damage…

I apologize for taking the thread off-topic for a minute, but there has been a disproportionate number of trolling/flaming/attacking/insulting posts in the LaFerrari threads. To make it clear, when it comes to these threads:

    1. No more personal warnings will be issued. A general warning has been given to all.

    2. First offense personal attack/insult/trolling/etc = 1 month ban.

    3. Second offense personal attack/insult/trolling/etc = permanent ban.

    4. Use of an alias while temporarily banned = permanent ban.

Okay, now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

I think the panel is simply missing, look an the bottom lip which abruptly stops before the black taped section. As a panel is missing, they taped the area after at least being washed. So no water gets in where it shouldn't.

The owner posted earlier he's taking delivery the week after he races at the 24hours at Le Mans. I'm sure he'll share plenty of pics when he takes delivery.

Don't think so. Medio is a non metallic color and the one in the picture seems metallic.

Car in the factory may be Ferro Met. The one taken during test drive is not Grigio Ferro Met. Too dark.

OK, you think it,that how I know it? I look on details very exactly.

Firstly I saw this GF LaFerrari in factory from Ferrari video. Less than week I saw pictures grey/black LaFerrari on test drive and at the moment I knew that it is same LaFerrari which I saw in factory picture. I check it (details), in all was these LaFerrari same, color - Grey/Black, wheels - matte black, brake calipers - red, exhaust system - silver and very important detail is protection film, when you look very very exactly you can see that is 100% situated in same places. And also I saw in video when I stopped it, protection film on mirrors and first time I thought that mirrors are carbon fibre but also are in grey color like in pictures on test drive.....it is for me 100% that LaFerrari from factory is same like LaFerrari on test drive.

And LaFerrari from Sweden, I just only think that it is same LaFerrari like this because color looks like Grigio Ferro and therefore I thinking that these LaFerrari are same. BUT only thinks!

Grey/Black LaFerrari from Sweden first time spotted on very quality Swedish roads http://scontent-a.cdninstagram.com/hphotos-xap1/t51.2885-15/10424364_647976515278431_737634739_n.jpg

This kind of stuff you never know 100% sure without a chassis number. There are identically specced cars more frequently than we think. However I tend to agree with Tomas this time that probability of both grey LaFerraris being the same is very, very high. And Grigio Ferro it is (or they are).

As for the pic posted by Ak3... who knows, it can be anything, but in a particular light and/or camera setting I guess it could even be Ferro, too. Yes, it COULD be yet again the same car.
