Frist time I saw that, really important to join with the sn this mention? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've made photos of the rosso corsa with black roof LaF at Kroymans today. I'll try to post them tommorow.
Officially it has been said that there will only be one LaF in full CF. Rumour is that car is going to Japan.
I know tub is carbon fiber but aren't panels aluminum? Or are you saying panels will be made in CF as a one off? Would be cool if it had weave ala Pagani Huayra
I have been hearing for so many years how Ferrari prefers aluminum to CF as you can repair it, x ray it etc etc it just hadn't ocurred to me. But yes, I guess they are CF. Right?
Great idea Gregmour! For this reason it put responsable the owner in case of accident if he tries to masked the sn...
I believe the panels are CF, and the car will be finished in CF with a clear coat. Today I ordered this BBR 1:18 model of the car in question. It even says in the product literature that there will only be one 'real' full CF LaF produced. In the second picture you can see that the body has a CF weave finish, which is meant to replicate the one CF LaF (which has yet to produced). I was lucky to get my hands on this model with the display case, 1 of 49. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
For chassis repairs this is correct. For body panels they have used a mix of aluminum, steel, carbon and fiberglass for several years now on the mainstream models. Because it is their latest limited edition absolute cutting edge technology demonstrator "spec," the LaF, like the Enzo and F50 before it, uses both a carbon tub and full carbon body work.
The first Canadian car appears to have been delivered before the first US car, interesting. It was my understanding that RL was going to get the first car in North America. We still haven't seen a US LaFerrari, I wonder when the first 'US' car will show up? Two people I know have been bumped up to August and September respectively, which is great news.
From what I've heard from LA bud of mine Ferrari BH expecting their first LaF later this month, not sure if they'll get the very first one, but their allocation seems to be largest in the North America.
Does anyone know if the owner of the LaFerrari has already taken delivery? I was hoping to see it when it arrived at Algar.
