Matte silver looks great on the LaF. Makes the Bugatti seem like a fat pig. Photo by @dfw_cars_. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It always surprised me how many (what appears to be most) LaFerrari’s were originally ordered with those horrific black wheels. My initial assumption would have been that the vast majority of those who were fortunate enough to receive an original allocation would have been long standing, traditional and tasteful, Ferrari buyers who would never gravitate towards black wheels. It’s a shame Ferrari even offered them, particularly on their flagship car. Hopefully that won’t be the case on the LaFerrari successor.
Wishful thinking. I think the vast majority of buyers, not just laferrari buyers dont share that tasteful and more traditional taste. And for Ferrari it's an easy way to make an extra 5 figures per car. Wheels, stripes etc.
I agree the whole stripes craze is also out of control, and I’m convinced those cars will be less desirable long into the future. One hopeful sign is that there seems to be very few Daytona Sp3’s optioned with black wheels. I’m sure the clientele is the same for the most part, so maybe that’s an indication that the black wheels trend is waning.
The matte silver car looks fantastic. It wouldn’t with silver wheels. Black wheels with Rosso Corsa is maybe not the best to my eye but with the right colour black wheels are more appropriate than silver. Each to their own and just because someone thinks a car should be spec’d with silver wheels doesn’t automatically mean that someone who thinks differently has poor taste! A strange and seemingly obnoxious view. It’s hardly the same as matching a yellow body with a red interior and a green stripe after all.
What I have observed is vast majority of buyers follow the specs Ferrari subtly pushes on them via their launch specs, demos and advice. For LaFerrari, Ferrari did push for black roof and did not deter clients from going with the matching black wheels look. This is why so many LaFerraris have black rims. Of course it does not hurt when coloured wheels, stripes etc generate additional revenue.
Hello everyone! I do not know if this is the correct thread to ask this, as I am new to the forum and I dont really know how to navigate it. Does anyone have any pictures or information on Jean Todts LaF Aperta? I saw a couple blurry pictures on Instagram and the spec looks incredible. Light blue with darker blue stripes.
Picture take many years ago in zanasi stable. It’s prototype of fxxk. Recently is spotted in Asian country.
Being so dusty shows what incredible styling the LaF has. Look at those frontal surfaces and curves. Amazing.
China, apparently. Photographer unknown. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
About six different colors on one car, tasteless. Is there no dislike button on fchat? Marcel Massini
Are LaF really selling for that much in Europe? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Asking price and actual sales price is not the same. After all these years you really should know this. Marcel Massini
