I think you should also add a place where it talks about people who have been banned from fchat. You could call it, "Town of the Banned"

 

I think the "Lurkers" thread on the Ferrari Discussion forum does quite well already as an "Introduce Yourself" thread. I read the new entries and occasionally send a greeting, as do others.

 

Most forums I'm on have a "New Members Forum" where new members can introduce themselves.
