I am not fully convinced - the styling seems a mix of too many concepts, without the coherence of a 575 and without the sleek elegance of a Murcielago.

Also, what happened to the trademark Ferrari 4 rear lights??? Why only 2??? They look horrible! Was it a cost saving measure? :)

I have to see this car for real, perhaps in the metal the proportions look better than in the photos. I sincerely hope so, because mechanically this car is 10 years ahead of the Murcielago (lightweight construction, Enzo-derived V12...). If only it was as beautiful...

I had a look at the pictures on the owners website. I have to admit that I am not immediately in love. The car looks in the pictures a lot like the Nissan 350Z. Possibly it will all change when I see the car for real.
Does GTB mean that there might also be a GTS in the future?

Good point. If they make it into a fully open "spider" it could be the first official Ferrari V12 convertible since the 250 California (the custom-made 412 and Testarossa Spider were not official cars, the 550 Barchetta did not have a proper roof, and the Superamerica was not a full convertible).

I think they must be planning it, since both Pagani and Lamborghini are receiving excellent reviews of their big roadsters, which even if negligible in terms of overall numbers they do tend to draw the spotlight on the marque.

Both Pagani and Lamborghini are mid-engine cars. I can only wish that Ferrari would make a 12 cylinder spider with a mid-engine lay-out. Just imagine the sound and looks.
Did they ever make an official 12 cylinder mid-engine spider?
    F50?

They are quoting the 275 rear lights. (or Lusso and some others)
Not good to know corvettes still produced with a 4 rear lights design - stolen from Ferrari. :(

You are right, I forgot the F50!!!! A friend of mine in Germany (his dad, at least) used to own one - he says the sound was AWESOME when you revved that F.1-derived jewel of an engine across the mountain roads of Austria. :)

The single rear lights refer to the 275 GTB. There have been several V12 Ferrari convertibles since the 250 GT california, like the 275 GTS, 330 GTS and 365 GTS/4.

    Hi! Who are you?
    Welcome I guess!

There are several 12 cylinder spiders indeed. Unfortunately in the last 20 years or so they have not been a popular idea in Maranello.

I think that old designs of pininfariona for ferrari are better than today designs, testarossa/512tr are the most beautiful 12 cilinders ever made for ferrari (with 456), the new 599 is beautiful but is not charismatic like testa, i also think that today design for ferrari are too similar than japanase sport cars. saludos desde España de Antonio.

I really don't know how I must see this car in relation to the current competition of Lamborghini and Pagani. For me it is just like a two seater version of the four seater GT.
But maybe I should keep quiet untill we know some more about the car.

Yes, you have always loved Nissan didn't you? :)

But I have to say that the car is also growing on me more and more. I would love to see it for real. It is probably stunning.
