Official Magnum P.I. thread...

Fun crossover. I don't watch 5-0 so fortunately last Friday's episode was On Demand and I was able to watch it before Magnum. I liked the conversations between the serious McGarrett and the jovial Magnum.

My cousin was the Daniel Hong character in the hotel room that was the Chinese spy. Too bad he didn't get to say any lines. He told me out of all the filmed footage he was in, they used like 10% in the episode.

I graduated HS all the way over here in Alabama with a girl that has been busy playing characters on NCIS, 5-0 etc. She is Filipino so she gets a lot of parts for everything from Korean characters to Hawaiian. I'm waiting for her to pop up on Magnum. Her name is Amor Owens. Ask your cousin if he knows her.

 

Yep my cousin is hapa haole or half Japanese/half Caucasian and models so he gets cameos, does commercials for local banks/credit unions type gigs. He does stuntmen work as well with a brown belt in Ju-Jitsu so can do rolls, chase scenes.

Hopefully your friend gets cast on 5-0 or Magnum.

 

When they shot the front tires of the 488 Magnum said: those tires are $800 a piece. Well my tires are less than half of that on my 458. But then again it is Hawaii. Ouch.

My wife watched both episodes. She watches 5-0 but doesn’t care for the Magnum character.

Her comment: Magnums car is ugly compared to your 458.

 

Wife and I watch both 5-0 and Magnum. We enjoyed the crossover. Wife did ask if our 488 front tires are $800 a piece...lol...had to show here tire rack prices

 

I cringed when I saw him shoot out the tires. I was worried that the bullet would also take out the TPMS and potentially damage the wheel

 

First episodes of Magnum reboot just shown on French TV - in the first one they destroy a Ferrari that morphs from a 488 to a 458... I'm always surprised at such blatant inconsistencies, assuming thee filming does not come particularly cheap.

 

Fat jack who always told Magnum he would help him BUT somebody would have to take Eunice on a date which usually ended up being Rick.

 

One of my top 5 favorites. I recorded it on a little cassette (we didn't have a VCR then) just to replay the Ferrari chasing down Ted Danson in the Mercedes. I was 13.

I even have one of the scripts for that episode.

 

Ted Danson came to a nasty end in that one.

 

Now for something completely different: who would buy that 488 if it were offered?
Plus: famous (or infamous)
Minus: wear and tear (whereby I am sure when they "shot" out the tires it was a small charge that was ignited and did not damage the wheel/TPMS)

 

So, is the new Magnum PI cancelled??

It's back on April 10th.

 

Thank you, been missing it! They’ll never capture the magic of the original, but I enjoy the new show for what it is. I enjoy the new actors and scenery, and the 488 is super nice!

We wrapped season 2 3 weeks ago, There will be a season 3, they interrupted are broadcast dates in anticipation of the Final season
episode old Hawaii Five-0 we share the same Producers.
I hope for all the new episodes will give everyone all little distraction from these scary times we are going together.

Lighting, not the most difficult job in this beautiful place, Hawaii, beautiful woman, wonderful people and last but not least the great
488, And after all the abuse we inflict on the car it is bull it proof

 

Are ya'll pulling the car on a trailer when you shoot scenes with them in dialog and driving?

 

We pull, drone , and car mount depending on scene + safety requirements..

 

How are Jay Hernandez and Perdita Weeks like in real life?
