Tricolore is my favorite but wow this one is right on its heals! Thanks for all the great pictures... Zonda is a forever car, and like the F1, doesn't have a replacement. That pair along with Carrrera GT & F40 are my all-time best cars.
From Pinterest. It's pretty amazing to see the evolution of the Zonda especially the later models. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just wanted to resurrect this thread From one of the best days of my petrolhead life! Still wondering if it was a dream or not.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have just a short video, sadly it was mostly traffic, so we had no opportunity to push the car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsKMMttkydE But I still have some pics on my phone, so I surely will post something in the future. The story behind the pictures is not so short, but anyway.. I fell DEEPLY in love with the Zonda when I was 11, back in the 2001. Sadly, despite living in Italy, I never seen one of these in real life, until October 2015 in Monza, where I met a very well know Fchatter in Monza with the Zonda Nero. I felt the butterflies in the stomach punching again, thanks G for making me feeling like a 8 years kid ! After that day I promise myself to try to find a way to have a ride in one of the 136 Zonda ever made in the next year. Long story short, I got to know a european gentleman with a Zonda S Roadster 7.3 in his collection. We met multiple time in the last spring, helping him with the Italian language gettin around Milan and the rest of Italy. Since he is a bit of role model to me, due to his success in life, he taught me that life is about giving and receveing. Due to that, and due to the fact that he was attending a car event in Northern Italy for the first time with his Zonda, and knowing that I was a diehard petrolhead and a true Zonda lover, he invited me the day before the event to meet again and to show me the car. Holding the carbonfyber door and sitting in the driver seat, holding the steering wheel was a mindblowing experience. I still remember the feeling that I had, the dream came true. Due to the traffic he told me that he would wait next time to allow me behind the wheel, to avoid every kind of risk. We still had a quick ride (10 minutes) around, where I was so overhelmed, I still remember my hands shaking for the emotions ahaha I could try to tell you something about the car, but the truth is, you have to experience it to understand. The car is so raw, and I understood once again why I love analog cars. Surely, due to the fact the car was a S with " just" 555 hp" , a 458 Speciale or a F12 would be faster, but it's not about the performance, the Zonda is all about the driving experience. This experience taught me a lot, to work harder in order to make dreams come true! I will try to post more pics and even some short clip in the next days.
