Are you talking about that 312 PB?

I saw that several years ago during an FCA national meet...and yes that engine runs. I heard someone offered him several hundred thousand dollars for the model and he refused it. Which is ironic because that is more that what the real car cost when you bought it from the Ferrari Factory. As for the scale, I remember it being 1/10th..but it wasnt 1/18

I've got video of the builder demonstrating the car at the '94 FCA National during the concours. The scale is somewhere between 1/3 and 1/8th. Maybe a little bigger than the Pocher/Kyosho F-40 model. What kills me is that the tach works! There was also a website but not sure if it's still up or not:

Yes, the working 312PB of Mr.Scerri is indeed 1/3rd scale.

The F1 replica is impressive, to be sure, but the 312PB is just...well, I think I'm having a bout of the old aphasia. Awesome, incredible, and ridiculous don't even begin to describe it.

My GOD! I'd love to come home with something like that...I have absolutely no room for it, but it'd be worth it just to see the look on my wife's face!

The builder is Dutch and he's going to build a Koenigsegg and a Pagani Zonda aswell. The red car is reportedly a new Pagani Zonda. edit: more probably an Edonis (never heard of it).

    Ciao, Peter

    Peter,

The red car is indeed an Edonis. Based on the EB110 Bugatti, but lighter and with more power. Nice.

The post reminds me of the French gentleman who made an exact 512S replica, right down to the motor that actually worked and sounded like a Ferrari flat 12. Awesome. Was on one of Jeremy Clarksons programmes. "Meet the neighbours" IIRC

    Cheers
    Matt

Thanks for the info on the Edonis.

I'm sure you meant a 1/3 scale replica of a 312 PB with working everything (even the rev. counter!). Amazing piece of art. It was made by Frenchman Pierre Scerri who is a friend of the Dutchman who builts the 330 P4 scale model.

    Ciao, Peter

It's a repost but a pretty cool one at that. Never get tired of it.
