O'Gara open house / meet and greet on Saturday 2-10-24

I got this email from Rich Kansky at O'gara. They are having a Meet and Greet at their new shop. Come by and see the work going on with my Fiat Dino Spider. Its pretty cool.

We would like to invite you to our new (Temporary) workshop of which we reside until we move to new facility in Las Vegas. We feature 2 highly experienced technicians as well as state of the art equipment.

There will be complementary light lunch available, The hours for this event will be Saturday February 10th from 11am-2pm at 3945 East Patrick Lane, Suite B, Las Vegas NV 89120.

I took a few photos on my way out about 2. I think about 40 people or so showed up. They are probably the only shop in the LV area who can work on McLaren's. Seems like there's always 4 or 5 there any time I stop by.

Went by O'Gara this morning. They've enlarged to the space next door which is under construction. They tore down the wall about a week ago. They have become an authorized McLaren factory service center and get their parts directly from the UK overnight.

They are going to install a 14K lb lift to do Rolls Royce service in the new space, an alignment machine, and a detail shop to complete the PDI they get from new McLaren deliveries. Its impressive how quickly they built this from nothing in a few months.

Still doing Ferrari service but you can see they are working on a lot of Macs now. Something Las Vegas has lacked way too long.

I went by O'gara today. You would not believe how much and how fast they have grown. They have so many McLarens to work on (at least 20) as well as Ferrari and 5 Rolls Royces. They expanded next door and put in lifts and an alignment machine. All this in about 6 months. Impressive but there was a pent up demand for McLaren factory service in Las Vegas for a while.

 

Just friends with many who work there for many years. I'm not alone.

I am personally very happy there is authorized McLaren service in Las Vegas. It was something we were lacking. Previously LV owners had a lot of trouble getting their cars fixed correctly. Many had to ship them to CA.

Its good for the local economy and exotic car owners as was the first Ferrari dealership opening in 2008. Seeing LV grow and evolve over 20 years has been pretty amazing. Some rough patches of course but the momentum now is on the upswing.

 

Dropped by O'gara yesterday afternoon to check on my car. We're waiting for a part.
Took this video of the Ferrari's being serviced. More and more classics showing up in addition to newer cars. They are getting some business from LA and Utah as well as locals.

Its pretty impressive how this service center has grown in less than one year.
