There are a LOT of Ferrari's that arent as fast as a GTR, and i honestly am not that much a fan of the GTR.

So, it's cocky for GT-R owners to do this, but not for the numerous Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, etc. owners who put licenses plates that portray the same message? Ok.

I'm replying to the creator feeling the need to input, "Oh God". Why Oh God, other than the fact that thread creator seems to think GT-R owners having plates like this is nothing but cocky? I'm merely bringing up what makes it any different from the other owners.
Why does it matter if I don't? I don't see any relevance in asking me this unless for some reason, this means my opinion is suddenly invalid....

Your post didn't quote the creator's, so I assumed it was directed at me. My apologies, though. :(

Is that why the GTR has a fat arse. Now who cares if it is faster than a Ferrari. It will never be a Ferrari, it will always be a pretender to the mantle that every manufacturer aspires to. I am not biased against the GTR it is a great car and shows how a mass production manufacturer can build such a vehicle for the price that they ask. It is not hand made, it does not and will not have the soul that every Ferrari has.All Ferrari's have their own character, the owners out there know what I mean. At the end of the day a little kid does not say I want GTR when I grow up they want a Ferrari unless the dark side has them, in which case they want a Porsche.

There will always be cheap cars that are faster than most exotics. It's not all about speed. You can pretty much twin turbo any ricer these days and it will eat most Ferrari's and Lambo's for breakfast. Not really a big deal. I own a 350Z and have sat in a GT-R. the GT-R feels just like my 350Z. Nothing really exotic about it. It's just ricer that comes fast from the factory.

The 3.5L that you have in your 350Z and I have in my G35 can put down some ridiculous power after a twin turbo kit, test pipes, etc...but it will never be a Ferrari. I'm sure most GTR owners realize this, too. It's just like that stupid scene in Fast and the Furious where that supra beats a 355. Who cares?

Maybe when you and I were kids (there was no GTR or Skyline then). Now, quite a few kids are saying they want GTRs. Playstation generation and all that.

Tempora mutantur, nos et mutamur in illis. The GTR is a great car for a modern kid to aspire to.

I don't think Lambo, Bugatti, Zonda, McLaren, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Ascari, Ariel, Koenigsegg, Lotus and many many others "aspire" to the mantle that is Ferrari. Ferraris are cool cars - many of them are very fast and look great. Some are slow, and some don't look very good. To think that any car with a prancing horse on the back, by definition, is "better" than anything else out there is laughable.

The GT-R is a cool car. Is a plate like "Ate a Ferrari" any worse than the silly plates many Ferraris (and other cars) have? The ones like "you'd lose" and "its real" and stuff like that? Are these types of plates any worse than people dressing up in car-brand dork outfits with the maximum number of logos on them, and showing up at the start of a group drive to show their cars, then bailing out and going home so they don't put too many miles on?

Anyone with a Ferrari with less than at least 2-3k miles per year is more of a pretender than a guy with a vanity plate, IMO! :)

Big deal. Don't get me wrong, I kinda like the GTR, but I know plenty of Honda Civics that can beat Ferraris (at least in a straight line), so that is nothing to boast about.

However, no other marque can truly "eat" Ferrari. I easily kept up with the pack on a recent drive in my Nissan, but it's nowhere NEAR the enjoyment that my Spider was!!!

Perhaps someone could photoshop the back of the GTR next to the back of a 430.

    GTR would say
    8AFRARI

    The 430's plate would say
    BUTNOT1

Shouldn't this thread be in the Off Topic > Cars, Motorcycles, Boats, & Planes forum instead of Other Off Topic? Aren't there enough GT-R threads already? Why start another?
