plus looks like your 360 has headlight washers, i don't believe US 360s have headlight washers do they? mine doesn't
Euros in America are NOT supported by the Dealerships, period. That said, at this point so what???? I still have my Christmas Tree up, but I hide it in the Kitchen with my Tool Boxes, Fishing Igloos, and the Ducati side bags.....it's a living tree, so it seems ok.........
Not clear what you are saying here. If you are talking about Warranty & Campaigns you are correct. If it is recalls they will do it at no cost. For service, the dealers will gladly work on a euro and take your money just like any other car. They will order parts, even ones that are different for euros. All no problem at the dealer; this is first hand experience. There is a lot of FUD about dealer support as well but I haven't seen one that won't support my euro.
Correct. The rear license place area is euro shape as well, not US shape. Outer rear taillights are amber in the center, US are clear.
Ok beat me up because I am a dealer and I made a mistake! Well like I said I saw that Ferrari sitting there looking all pretty and just couldn't wait to get in it and drive it home. The dealer which is Potamkin Auto Gallery told me today that the manager that sold me the car didn't know it was a Euro car but the other managers did know. They have no intentions of compensating me or unwinding the deal. All the positive feedback from most of you at least makes me feel a little better. Thanks guys!! And for the record I am just too lazy to disassemble that aggravating Christmas tree!! If anyone wants to bail me out at $78,000.00 just let me know and I will throw in the Ferrari flag and the Christmas tree!!
I'm confused... you have a Euro Maserati,.. and you didn't notice the 360 was a Euro Ferrari? You do know the Maser is a Euro, right???
Here's my concern... First of all, you bought an exotic from a dealership in Miami. Bad move #1. Secondly, when a Euro car comes into the states, they change the speed-o. They are supposed to record the previous mileage and indicate it somewhere, but they don't always. I mention this because your car looks like it has Waaaayyy more than 17k miles on it. Look at the seats and shifter. Lastly, from the dealers add which is still up, it looks like they provide pictures to disclose this car is a Euro. I say keep it and drive the snot out of it. Do you want your money back? How much are you prepared to spend? You are going to have to jump through some hoops, but I think if you get a lawyer, you can do it. A poster mentioned already about B2B transactions. Was this a business transaction or a personal transaction? It looks like this car is sitting in your garage, for your own enjoyment only. However, given the situation it would be difficult to prove- you probbly used your dealer license on this purchase...
The Maserati is not a Euro. I purchased it throught a Manheim auction and they absolutely forbid any Euro cars from being sold through their facility.
Lot's of good info here...I do have a question- what if the car was imported from a country with left hand drive and MPH vs KM (are there any?) Also, is it possible that the miles are KM on the odometer and only the face was changed to miles (you can tell that pretty quickly just driving- highly unlikely, but just figured I'd ask). The shifter and seat don't necessarily mean the miles are off- it's possible being a convertible and in Florida that the sun hit the shifter hard...the seat same thing coupled with bloster wear just from sun and getting in and out of the car. Both things are fixable... I like the Christmas tree by the way!
You are NOT going to get a much better price than what you paid just keep the car you got a great deal.. a great deal.. unless it's salvage you can't get a better deal without stealing it
Well I will have to say you are a very good investigator. They had already fixed the seat bolster and I have a new gear shift knob on the way. I would agree the interior is less than 100% but I figured a 9 year old Ferrari would have a little bolster wear and figured the previous owner was careless with the shifter knob. A very inexpensive fix anyway. Overall the car is pretty nice. Not a 10 but something you could be proud to drive. My only defense is I was so excited about buying it I let those "clues" that it was a Euro car slip by me. Oh well you live and learn!!
Oh, he would have gotten me good! i'd have been out in the garage furiously checking my Maser's ID sticker! LOL!
No the miles are correct because it was about 700 miles back to home and it recorded the miles correctly. I figured the same thing about the interior, the heat, the top down, it will cause more wear and tear. But you are right simple fixes. Thanks again for all your input.
Yeah I know but I do feel it should have been disclosed so I could have made the right decision. And that would have been hold out for a US Spec car for not much more money.
I think you will feel better spending all this time driving it top down rather than posting here...I hear driving a 360 Spider top down is the best antidepressant...
