Drove my 355 down to new orleans last night, about a 115 mile trip. Noticed that it was acting up a little, kind of like it wasnt getting gas, but no big deal. Then towards the end of the trip things really started to get out of hand.

Couldnt tell which bank, but one of them decided that they were done for the trip. I would shut the car down while rolling in neutral, crank it back up and it would behave for awhile, followed by the cylinders shutting back down again.

This went on for several times, again I was pulling into nola in the dark, not really somewhere you want to be on the side of the road in a "whip" like that. Eventually though the oil pressure light was coming on and my trick of turning it off and on again had played out. It was now just on 4 cylinders, and at this point I was mercifully at my destination.

I cranked it up this morning, but did not drive it. It seemed as though all cylinders were firing.

Any ideas, guesses, as to what I may be having problems with. Thanks.

Hi Todd, is your check engine light illuminated? Do you have access to an OBDII code reader so you can find the fault codes and post them up? I'm sure someone will be able to chime in, especially if the fault codes look familiar.

Unfortunately I dont have my obd with me, no check engine light, but not sure those lights even work on my car. I did drive it today with no issues, but that certainly wasnt the case last night.

You should get those lights fixed (if they are not working)

If one is near you, stop at autozone or pepboys or such. They can read the codes for you free of charge. Most of the codes are posted here or on my348.com

with the engine off, turn your key to aux setting, your lights on the dash should each light up and turn off....

Make sure during the system check that your CEL light turns on....

If it does not, then your CEL light is not even working.
