Ironically, those Edelbrock Performer AFB carbs are made by . . . Weber! Regarding the bidders' questions, old school Chevy small blocks do leak oil. It's because the valve covers have only four bolts to hold them down. I think I see aluminum cylinder heads but I sure don't see an A/C compressor. Aluminum *block*? No, it's titanium. It is convenient -- and suspicious -- that the title reads "1974." That takes you out of Smog Check. You could have a GMC 6-71 blower sticking out of the hood if you wanted to.

 

1974 is very suspicous. I bought the 400i with the LT1 (i will explain my reasoning in another thread) about a year ago and have not been able to register it in California due to it being a 1985.

 

The 22445 serial number slots in as a 1977 model. This car used to be black with a red interior when it was seen in Encino by NNO (Carbon) in 2009. Back then he reported there was a carpet covering the dash and duct tape on the seats.

Actually, what I can't believe is that this one is bringing almost what the 5 speed with a good running Ferrari V12 brought last week.

 

$17,900 with 19H 30M to go is actually very frightening! The 5 speed buyer got a bargain!
