In line with its current engine, would make me think that it still has its original transmission :)

That chop-job is from a UK TV show called Ultimate Wheels. It's episode 1 2014 season. Couldn't find it online - probably for the better. If I remember correctly they bought a halted project car with a V8 engine swap and took it from there...

Little history lesson for all here re 'The Ute' story.
The very first utility vehicle, was a 1934 Ford sedan chopped (by Ford Aussie) so that Mum was comfortable going into town with the old man to take a sheep/pig or two and return with supplies and hardware in the back.:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ute_(vehicle)#:~:text=A%20ute%20(%2Fju%CB%90t%2F,with%20a%20regular%20driver's%20license.

This 412 version is as useful as boobs on a bull!

Which makes it a perfectly fine project IMHO as it was already somewhat ruined.

I remember the episode, was kind of a fun episode.
