Got the '78 308 out for the first time this season and as it was warming up I noticed a puddle of oil forming. Appears to be the oil cooler itself and not the lines. I see a couple used units on Ebay (not overly excited about a used one) and Ferrari UK has new ones for 320quid... any US sources that might save me a few bucks? Or anything aftermarket that would be recommended? Thanks!!

I had mine repaired by a fantastic company in the LA area that does aircraft oil radiators. It was less expensive than the new ones. GT Car parts have them in stock New, but they would not fit the early GT4 radiator shroud. Here is the info great experience!

On your later car you should be fine with the new one, mine that they repaired has lasted over 3 years. Very important use back-up wrenches when installing thats where these are weak, see my leak, however I am very careful and I think mine went from the constant vibration on the lower hose to cooler.

I use eastward radiator back paint on mine, also on my car you need to cut off one tab which may be needed for other models.

Ha! I thought it was the GT4s that needed the 4 tabs.

I had to cut of a tab for my GTS as well. I was told the donor car for my used rad was a GT4.

Wish I had known about your new-rad guy: would have done that instead.
