Oil drop on control cable after drives on my 355?

I noticed a couple of drops of oil on my garage floor after driving my 99 355. The drops are coming from what appears to be a control cable going into an f1 gear box. It has a drop of the stuff, but only after I drive it and not right away - after an hour or so. I noticed the rubber coating is broken in the spot of the leak and a metal wrapping is showing. The car is going to WWoC this weekend and I am sure they can figure it out, but I would like some ideas.
BTW Jim Murphy agreed to pick this car up in Wildwood NJ @ no $ as the car just had major there and he does not want to take a chance on damage occurring due to this leak.
Props to him for that (eventhough he was reluctant at firs to go so far) Like I said WWoC service so far is exceeding all expectations.
