I need to change the oil filters in my 550 Maranello.

Does anybody know where I can buy them in the UK?

ricambiamerica.com ships to the UK but the shipping and import charges make the purchase from the USA unattractive for these inexpensive items.

Am I missing something: since Ferrari appear to only charge about twenty quid why not just get the real thing from your local official dealer ?

I bought the filter kit from Superperformance.

Oil, air and fuel - make sure you get enough washers from them. You need 2 for oil and 6 for fuel, but they only send one !

Facom do a filter removal tool for £20 - it is strong enough to allow you to torque them up. The Hill one looks nice but is £50.

    Hi Del,

I guess that you need 2 washers for oil because of the washer for the Oil Breather Cup (in addition to the washer for the Engine Sump Plug Washer). Is that the reason?

If so, are these the correct washers?, from Eurospares:

    Part No. 10280060 Ferrari
    Gasket
    Part No. 10303460 Ferrari
    GASKET

    Thanks

Maranello Classic Parts is another UK source. One of the pieces remaining after Maranello Concessionaires was purchased and divided.

Not sure what you mean by oil breather Cup ?.

There are two plugs on the sump, small and large, you don't need to undo the large one unless it is weeping to replace it - this is an odd size. So one for the sump and one for the oil tank which lives in front of the passenger front wheel.

I think you need 10280060 and 10257060 - this is listed on page 24 - it shows the oil tank.

The washers for the fuel filters are nothing special but if you can order them before hand it makes sense.

    Many thanks for the explanation.

I agree, one for the oil tank, which from page 24, is Part No. 10257060

and one for the sump, which from page 26, seems to be Part No. 10280060

    That coincides with you parts.

However, just to confirm, on page 26, Part 10280060 (Ref 17) along with Oil Outlet Plug (Ref 16) seem to be along a horizontal axis, isn't it vertical?
