    Hello All,

I let the oil level in my 2010 California get a bit low, and the oil level light came on. I've topped the car back up to the correct level, but after several days and maybe ten starts, the light is still on. Is this normal?

    Thanks!

The manual on my 2015 Cali T said to fill to max and that the warning light may stay on for a while afterwards. I didn't want to fill to max, and thought this was why my check oil level warning light wouldn't go out. The first time this happened to me, I had the dealer reset it for $$$. This second time, I held out. Started the car 50 times. drove 150 miles over two weeks. The light finally went out on it's own the other day. So for the Cali T at least, it will go out on it's own it just takes a while. I had checked the oil level by dip stick 10 times and was convinced it was proper at midway between min/max - I trusted the dipstick and convinced myself the warning light was not remaining on because it was indeed low, but that oil levels are important to monitor and it just wanted me to make sure there was no problem that was causing oil level to drop.

To avoid dealing with this , just check your oil levels once in a while and prevent it from dropping below min by adding a little oil as needed.
