I had my major done this winter and just got my car back. Fighting some gremlins, problems, messes and other issues. Is this the right oil line routing they used? Image Unavailable, Please Login
loosen the fitting just a bit, twist it down, retighten. Maybe put some shielding on it. No biggie, just a few minutes work.
You'll need to drain the oil, remove the hose and reposition properly. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yea... pretty PO'd about this. I fixed it this afternoon...I have a really cool HUGE crescent wrench now I always wanted one. but after going to a well respected ind Ferrari shop it was sad to see that...and a million other things. Two of which could have killed me. My next major is in my garage where it will be done properly. Image Unavailable, Please Login
You've certainly had more than your share of troubles. Sorry to hear. Did your guys get their SD turned back on?
that runs to the oil tank, and you do not disconnect it until the engine is on the ground. Well, now we know how the "shops" do it. It is why ... we do it ourselves.
Thanks for the sympathy. Given this trip, I'll take it No SD for them yet. After 5 weeks, they finally broke down and sent my car to a Ferrari dealer for actual correction of the F1 issue. As Yelcab said, doing it ourselves might be better. But the car is back home now and looking better each day. Been gone since January 6th.
I would raise hell of mine was gone that long. Short of an unobtainable part, there's no reason/excuse they should have it that long.
I bought a giant adjustable wrench at Lowe's. The guy that worked there was really excited because he'd never seen one get sold. He asked what I needed it for and when I said to work on a Ferrari he just gave this odd dumbfounded look. It was pretty great.
