Just started in the past week. Oil pressure randomly indicates 70 psi and then 100 psi cold or hot. Common cause ?

Check oil pressure sending unit at base of sump.also I've seen where ppl have grounded the sump and that cures it too.

I had the same issue. Oil pressure would peg to the right and then just stopped working altogether. I put in a new sending unit (current one was only 1.5 yrs old), because I knew they sucked and had a tendency to fail prematurely....even though I was pretty sure it was good, I had enough out that it was easy to get to. Didn't fix issue. Replaced the stepper motor for the gauge inside the cluster. Good as new.

I had an erratic gauge on my 360 also. I replaced the oil pressure sending unit, and the gauge has been rock steady for at least 5 years until I sold the car.
I believe there are many threads on it.
