    I have a problem replacing the oil pressure sensor in my 355, it's completely stuck, i have a crown wrench but i am afraid to use too much force as the aluminium casting it sits in seems very thin.

    Anyone else hade problems or suggestion what i could do?

    Its very hard to remove without damaging the sensor. I removed mine like 7 year ago, I think i resorted to a vice grip. But it was fine since I was replacing it.

    Had to apply heat on mine (from a heat gun) and use the double spanner method for extra leverage. It released with a loud crack. Heartstopping :confused:

    I used double wrenches 20 degrees apart, You can then grip them both and squeeze like cutters. Works like a charm, good for tightening too.

    You did this in situ or removed the oil base unit first from the car?

    A simple 5 min job turns out to be a real pain, worst case scenario is i have to remove the whole oil base unit.

    It's finally out, i had to use the torch and protected all surrounding cables, it came loose like butter.

    The pressure is like it should be now and follows the engine load....
