I'm planning a dry sump conversioon of a Fiat 2400 engine, whereby I will make a new oil pan and mount an external scavenger pump connected to a reservoir. The original pump will still provide the oilpressure taking oil from the reservoir istead of original pan.

I need to match the capacity of the scaveng pump to that of the original pump.

Can anyone tell me the capacity of the original oil pump at 1000 rpm?

2x the capacity of the supply side pump. Caution, use a an oil reservoir from a known supplier. It is VERY important that the oil is directed to the top side of the reservoir in such a way that you do NOT foam the oil. Big problem.
