    Hello,
Is the oil pump inspection/check/replacement part of the 30k service? how often do this tipically fail? in the event of having the oil pump chain making noise, how likely is for the pump to eventually fail?
    Thanks,
    355Blue

The dry sump pumps sound like a Cuisinart food processor by design, they are constantly sucking fluid, then air, then fluid, hence the name DRY sump. Do you Know what you are hearing or think you know based on what you think an oil pump should sound like?

Fill out your profile so we have an idea what year the car is. There were running upgrades to the chain tensioner as the model progressed. It takes an experienced ear to hear the difference between a correct one and a failing one.
