I have a 92 TR-the oil temperature gauge "jitters" .So while at working temperature, it will be stable for a while then it starts jittering aound the oil temperature readind it was providing. I have checked the contacts- clean, and the sender unit is new. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Thks

Most temp gauges work this way. disconnect the wire at the sender, with the key on if you ground the wire at the sender the gauge will go full hot. when you take it off (open air) it will go full cold. The sender is a variable resistor and varies the ground resistance.

Thks. To both of you. Will try that out. Easier then pulling the sender out again.
