My car is before 29613. I think the vehicle cut in number is simply where they started fitting F1 cars with the oil tank that deleted the bung for the sending unit as it is not used.

The 148676 sensor is a two wire sensor for early 355 and 348 (I think).
The 107576 sensor is the single wire sensor and what I have and new.

The gauge I have is the 167432 US Spec gauge albeit, used from FerrParts.

The inconsistency is whats odd. I mean, I ran the wire direct so now wire harness issues.

The single wire in F1 cars goes to the electrical block under the dash and terminates.

The Euro wiring diagram shows 5 connections for oil temperature. Surely the USA one can't be that different?

One wire is instrument power to the gauge (green/white), two are earths (black), one is an input (brown, from the sender) and one is power for backlighting (yellow/red)

You are right as always Ian. I should have been more clear.

One connector for the sensor. Not two connectors like the two bladed sensor option.

I primarily want to make sure I have the proper sensor mated with the proper gauge first.

However, I have some details of when I wired this up. Let me bull that back up and see what I did....stand by.
