    I have a small problem.

When I fire up my 328, the garage fills up quickly with an oily smell which sticks to my clothing and makes them smell nasty.

I had an oil cooler return hose leak problem, and might have over filled engine with oil. Could that be the case.? Extra oil problem.?

    Thanks

The dip stick shows that car is a little bit over filled.

I have no visible smoke except the usual starting smoke.

Can you see oil vapor/smoke rising from the engine deck and if so, which side?

The only oil/vapor smoke I see is the usual right hand muffler and then a little left hand side muffler smoke. Otherwise none.

Could it be the Fuel Booster additive (Silkoline Fuel Booster) I add to fuel that is making this smell.?

So it sounds like you are sure the origin of the odor is the exhaust gases and not leaking oil heating up and burning off exhaust parts. Vapor rising from the louvers can be difficult to see.

Positive, it's from the exhaust pipe outlets.
