Hello, I have found a non-running project car far out of state from me. This is a smoking deal at 1500 bucks from an indivdual in MA. I believe it is legit due to very clear and direct communication regarding all aspects of my questions. He offered Paypal as one payment option, but I was wanting to do something specific for auto purchase. If Paypal is actually the best option, that's fine. I searched google but couldn't really get any good answer so any help pointing me in the right direction would be great. Thanks!!!!

Is there a title involved? Pay half now and have him release the car. When you get the car send him the balance and then he sends you the title. Should work out that way.

When I bought my 360 I did something similar as this ^^^ only I verified the car was on the transport when I payed the guy.
Guess you could just call the transport driver's cell and get the "yep, she loaded up and I'm on the way"

Not sure how exactly you did that but if I were a seller I'd want cash cleared in my account before releasing the car. No cashiers check and if you wired it's not too predictable exactly when you'd get it?

Why not just go there, cash in hand, pay the guy in person and ship the car?
That's how I did it with my 328. Worked just fine.

Thanks for the replys guys!!! I might still have to use this advice on another purchase, but the one mentioned originally has fallen through due to more stuff missing on the S2K than I care to replace. Wish all that was mentioned in his ad...oh well. Thanks again!

Don't waste your time with Hondas. Move up to Ferrari ownership.

    Agreed.

But using money that could be better invested than modifying a car will certainly get you to Ferrari ownership quicker...

Don't get me wrong, I like the occasional track prepared honda (more of a fan of drifting and rwd gripping though, but everyone his thing:)), but the money invested in those things (often $20K+) could be better used towards starting your own business for example.

Oh, I'm much wiser than you might think. I drive them, but don't have to pay for them. Of course I don't get to drive them the way I would like since it's a test drive after repairs.

Seeing how they are designed, I would of course buy one if it were feasible. Especially since I can do all the maintenance and repairs lol.

I am sure many owners are enviable of your skill set when it comes time to pay for services rendered on their F-car!

Good job. Sounds like you did your homework and avoided some added expenses.
