When I took delevery of my auto, the heater fan was running full time and hot.
I took the car to the Ferrari Dealer in Vegas, (Since I had to drive it back to San Diego) had a preliminary mechanical inspection of the entire car, and had them remove the fuse for the Airconditioning.

Now 1 month later I put the fuse back in and I get the following symptoms.

    1) Unit does nothing untill the car is started.
    2) Once started Unit blinks one Diod, and the LED Display.

I think it is in the diag. mode but I can't really conform it.

I'm wondering if thie Airconditioning ECU has a small battery in it to retain
program memory in the event the battery is disconnected, and leaving the fuse out this long, (and maybe having a weak battery in the ECU), may have wiped out all my existing operational programming?

Also if anyone has a good contact to repair one of these I would be greatly thankfull. Best Regards Indy

I've had mine apart and never seen a battery or any evidence of a battery (if you find one, post it!).

If it is going into the diagnostic mode when you turn the ignition key, then I'd think that the one diagnostic button on the A/C panel is being pressed/stuck down.

The A/C panel buttons are mechanical; they can be stuck, or get glued, or have Ferrari sticky black console substance lock them into an up or down position.

They can also be cleaned, cut, pried, or otherwise freed if you'll just remove the A/C unit and disassemble by unscrewing a few small screws (also, that's a great time to swap every solder point and every male/femal pin/receptical with Stabilant 22a, as well as swap the ugly Green display over to Red).
