Not bad, but for that money I'd rather have the Yellow 400 that I guess is still for sale in TN... I bet this car will come down in price too...

You know I would be all over it but for a barn find I just bought a month ago... Yea, another 928. It is my absolute favorite color (royal blue) and is a 1982 model with 3500 miles on it (well almost 3600 now...I actually DROVE it to a show here in town!)

Thanks for keeping an eye out for me though guys! Most apprecaited! If the econ will come back (maybe in 6 or 7 years huh?!) then I will be ready for the first F-car! I really hope the end of next year or by the middle or 2010 anyway...

Com'on man, sell a couple of those 928s and get yourself a sweet Ferrari.

$24900? That price is right on.....doesn't get much better than that.

Will have to join the group soon so I can do just that... My pic use is full for a non-paying member right now... Stay tuned!

$24,500 for a car with big time miles is right on? I guess if the car is mechanically right on it might be. Maybe I missed something and prices of the autos have gone up a bit, but we were seeing cars that I would think are in as good shape as this car at $20k not long ago it seems... Of course you can't tell much from an online photo so this may be a WAY better car that those we were seeing go for $20k or a bit less even.

Thanks guys for keeping an eye out for me!

What else can you buy for 25K with this much style? Money comes and goes, life is what happens while you're planning...

The car in question is #36919

It was for sale in 2001, 2005, 2007, and again now.
Its been in Wisconsin, Michael Cannillo's place in NY, CA, and Nevada.

About all you will see for less are needy ones. Red ones don't exactly grow on trees either.
I think I may have "met" this car a while back. If so it was nice then but had loud pipes.

Probably right, but I was assuming this one with the ultra high (by Ferrari standards anyway) would need some serious TLC along the lines of what you can get for $20k so it is a wash either way. That was a TOTAL assumption btw, so it may be a FULLY sorted car for $25k which is always a good thing!

Tifosi66, thanks... It is a heck of a long read over on RL about the '82 Barn find... It is a hell of a car, I can't even begin to tell you how nice this thing is! Frankly it is my first NEW Porsche and it is! In every way this car is new, no other way to describe it. In fact a friend bought a new Cayman from the dealer...it was a demo car and it had more miles on it when he got it than my new Blue82 has! CRAZY!

I look forward to the day when a 400i joins the 28's in the garage!

As to the red color on 400's... When I first got to looking into them there were like 3 or 4 in Rosso Corsa for sale... I think (like 928's and maybe other cars as well) it comes and goes in waves! Completely true that there have been few red ones available of late though! Crazy thing this car collecting huh?!
