Only those over 45 will even know what the hell a TV tray even is much less have some laying around to get rid of!!! I've hit all the "junk shops" locally - zilch found.

But for those here who KNOW what a "TV Tray" is, I need one - just one. I'd like to find the kind where the tray snaps on to both legs. But one of the much newer 1980s style made of wood that's "all one piece" would work.

It's for a portable "tech bench" of sorts that I can pack in the car.... don't care about style, color, age, etc. - I'll repaint as needed. It just has to be all there and be somewhat solid.

But ain't NO WAY IN HELL I want to pay eBay prices - $199 for a set of FOUR???? LOL!!!

Free would be nice and I buy coffee in the greater Tacoma/Seattle area :) Free and I buy lunch to come to University Place - even better!! :)

Ping me if you have one you "can spare" (assuming you don't have a stack of Swanson dinners in the deep-freeze waiting for dinner time tomorrow!)

I would check the yard sales you drive by over the next couple weeks. That is a yard sale or Goodwill Thriftstore item if you need one and are prepared to refinish it some.

I know I know - but I think the era has so long ago moved past is the problem!! THE VAST MAJORITY of "TV Trays" is utterly OH so long ago in the landfill.... I was at a thrift store today and got all jiggy for one that had the LEGS but alas NO TOP!!! Dayum!

Funny how such an icon of the 1950s (before my time of course) and 1960s/1970s is utterly GONE now. Trust me - I've been hitting up junk/thrift shots for WEEKS just trying to find one - SETS of them? SURE!!! $100 and up - good grief!!

Could I afford it? OF COURSE... but that's not the point. I just need a single "TV Tray" for some field tech stuff I do and there's GOTTA BE ONE OUT THERE!!!

Oh, I was SO CLOSE at St. Vincent DePaul with the legs - also no table top in sight!!!

A plethora of TV trays are available on craigslist.

My wife thinks she has at least of couple of the trays here, with clips, but no stands.

I wouldn't be surprised if my neighbor has a whole stack of them (Mister Accumulator), but he isn't home at the moment. I'll check again later this afternoon.

Neighbor says he has two or three of these being used as plant stands, doesn't think he has any in the storage building, but he will look next time he's in there. Need an old shovel, he probably has 25 of them...
