OK so I was having a problem with the parking light. I was pulling out the relays in the front. Everything was fine. Now when I go to start the vehicle it does nothing. I hear all the relays, checked the fuses. But I feel the switch act funny. Then when I go to recrank the switch. It locks up. Then I pull the switch back and then it allows the switch to turn again. Could I have caused the switch to stop working?

    2000 Modena 360.

OK so its solved. Reset the ecu and typed in Tue alarm code and now she starts back up. Now the only issue I have is the parking lights. It stays on and drains the battery. Any ideas?

Perhaps you have not shut off your parking lights? On one of my previous Ferraris the driver not only could turn on the parking lights with the stalk, but it additionally had a "euro" feature that allowed me to turn on low voltage draw lights via a stand alone toggle switch as well. Could be as simple as that.

Thank you for the response. The toggle switch is interesting. I did check the switch on the steering wheel, and its off. But when I step out the vehicle the parking lights stay on. I pulled the relay in the front compartment out, and it shut down. After a 10 minute shutdown on the switch the light stay off. But once its restarted the light turn right back on. If in turn the power switch off and on the parking lights will turn on immediately after putting power on. Interesting situation. Maybe a short?

Mine has an additional switch in the centre console for parking lights.... Does yours? Next to the door mirror controls

Should have unless it's a Euro. Don't some Euro cars turn on the parking lights on one side if that turn signal stalk is in the on position when the ignition is turned off. IIRC Fords have that feature so if you are parked at the kerb the opposite side lights are on.

It should be the switch near the hazards with a "P" on it.

Dipper switch is the stalk on the column that dips the headlights (puts them out of brights). Not sure what that has to do with the parking lights though as the headlight switch should be off. I just tried playing around with mine and the only way of having the side lights on is if a.) the light stalk is in the first detent position and the ignition is in the ON position, OR b.) the side light button on the console is depressed.

    Sorry...

Meant to say Parking lights. Which in this case are lights that stay on no matter the key position.

I guess it is some sort of safety feature required in addition to the flashers.

Yep I guess parking lights are just that -- parking lights although I use mine in dim light as I have the bright LEDs installed.

I have a 360 Modena and my rear parking light, rear side maker, and front side maker light, kept going out. I couldn't find why my fuse kept blowing until I discovered that the side marker parking lights get old, and the two wires started touching, and it kept blowing my fuse. I had to change all my side maker lights because all of them eventually will wear out, and the rubber around them will eventually corrod. The dealer said this issue only happens on U.S models because European models don't have the bumper side makers. Check photos below ⬇️
