The car is a little bit too busy for me, but the drawing itself is very well done!!!

    Inno loves busy.

These are outrageous very complicated designs because I love such designs. Theres always osmething new on the car to discover. It never gets boring.
UNfortunately, it also would cost a fortune to produce these.

if bugatti wasnt such a gentleman's company, IMO the veyron would have looked alot like this (although lower to keep drag down)

something like if TVR built the veyron (i dunno if that would have been the best idea though)

    awesome drawings either way

try to steer away form the large intakes they tend to date a cars design, and look tacky, but your perspective is excellent wish i could draw like you!

I dont understand what you mean. If you think that, then what do you htink of Ferraris own enzo? Or Porsche Carrera GT? or many other current supercars? they requirel ots of air to the intercooler, oil, brakes, engine, and downforce surfaces to function. they needs rather big intakes thusly. Its not dated, its necessary.

You just proved my point right there, as technology advances the cars will need smaller intakes etc.
Sorry but i don't like Enzo or CGT.
I don't want to pick a fight with you or argue so i hope we can keep this civil. But i've seen you post on CDN.com and they will tell you the same thing i told you.

Imnot angry. I just like the personality that air intakes give to a car. Cars without them tend to be boring to me. A big massive air intake lends an air of menace and powerto acar. cars with tiny intakes look very weak and unfinished. Also I dont htink m,uch of people on CDN> they design cars with such impossible shapes its pointless to arguer about "expanding the concept of design" or "pushing the envelope" Sorry but if hteres no room for a door and no headroom, I dont care how good technology is, the car aint gonna work. But intakes are more of an aesthetic thing nowadays, and one I really happen to enjoy seeing in designs. Also, im curious as to exactly WHICH cars with smaller intakers youre refwerring to, because from Zonda to Koenigsegg, they all have sizeable inlets for air.

In terms of design, it is always a challenge to steer clear from (large) airintakes, in other words, to find solutions for cooling problems, without having to use an airintake. Also in terms of aerodynamics, an airintake is bad news. So I don´t think an airintake will ever be a goal in itself. On the other hand, there probably is a market, albeit a niche market, for outreagously styled cars, and cars like that do need an intake or four. Or five, of six or whatever.

I know thats certainly true. If I were to design a real life useable car I wouldnt use nearly so many intakes, but this is for fun. All the intersecting surfaces, crevices, holes in the bodywork and odd surface angles are simply a blast to design. I just happen to love the look of an exotic styled car, even if it isnt the most aerodynamic. Pretty much every supercar like that goes 200 mph anyway so it really doesnt matter to me which goes 240 and which can only do 200. The bulk of the fun lies in the range below the point where aerodynamics matter much anyway. I prefer a very quick car that can handle corners to one thats able to top 230 mph. In any case, ask most people what they htink an exotic car looks like and inevitably it WILL have large intakes somewhere. To me it just doesnt look right to not have some sort of angry gaping intake. It ruins the fun of the design. Efficient yes, passionate? thats debateable.

I know this is Cliche' but the mcca F1. One intake on either side not including the two in front. They aren't large imo. And for an example, i'd predict that in about 5-10 years the saleen is going to look dated because of the five billion intakes they put on it. Regardless of aesthetics they is always another way to skin a cat....

Nice convo too, finally one where people don't start flaming each other. Hard to find on the internet.

well Im defensive of my artwork and designs but generally I can hold a civilized argument if I choose tyo. But Im not mad or anything. However I am a a rather stubborn guy osmetimes so when I reallyl iker a way to design or draw something thats how Im gonna do it lol.

The Mclaren is actually a good design but IMO a bit on the bland side. I can htink of plenty of ways to hide intakes but its just not as fun to draw slab sides with no defining features. I always see that blank space and just HAVE to add detail. I strive to add surface interest wherever possible
