Ok starting to decide which Ferrari to get... need help

I think it's OK. There are rewards (and downsides) to Ferrari ownership that are common to all of the modern/ish models (308-F430). You really do have to commit to spending more for an experience that you will enjoy.

The older cars (308/328/Boxer) have charms and make demands that the newer ones just don't. They win on looks and character, IMHO, but the newer ones offer much more performance, air conditioning that works, wider cockpits and ease of use (paddle shifters, power seats, assisted steering, etc.) Either way, you're getting a Ferrari, with all the mystique, noise and celebrity that entails.

I have a much harder time trying to fathom the people who post here about trying to choose between a Porsche, Corvette and Ferrari. In that case, it's evident that the post'er has no appreciation for the real differences between the cars and is (probably) just out to buy a trophy car to impress everyone with his wealth.

Just my $0.02...

You don't have to justify your reasons for wanting a Ferrari or which model, etc. You're here to hear our opinions on the different cars that we own. When I started looking about two years ago, I had some ideas but was also not definite. I did not consider the 348 but looked into the 308/328 and then the 355. I'd agree that the 355 and up cars are more modern while the 328 and older cars are more "vintage". The 348, to many people, is a "love it" or "hate it" design.

My best advice is to put your name out there in the different Ferrari sources and keep your eyes, as well as your mind, open. You may get a great car that is your second/third choice for a great price.

Ignore those that claim you're nothing but a Ferrari-wanna-be.
