    I have a 98 SV with 2nd stage cats removed and a Tubi. Sound is great - loud V12 rumble a lower rpms and the it screams over about 3500 rpm. It is quite loud. Much louder and I don't think it would be much fun to drive for any distance.

    What exactly are test pipes? Is that just straight pipe from the cats to the exhaust with no muffler? Does that affect emmissions testing at all?

    yes, test pipes replace cats and have no catalytic conversion properties. it will dramatically affect your emissions and you will not pass.
