Nice photo - but it seems impossible to disclose the registration of the Spyder Vignale in the back. Ciao! Walter
Hi Bernhard, the car looks terrific - but don`t highjack my thread: only OLD photos of 3500GT here, pleazzzzze.... Ciao! Walter
An old picture taken in Riverside 1960 , vin # unknown (Ed Matsuishi copyright). Ciao Andrea Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not in the same vein as the other posts in this thread, but maybe of interest to Walter in terms of the body number for his records. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MASERATI-3500-...item1c1a059607 Bal
Sorry Walter, I take it you can't see the link from that reply? It's still up for sale with 2 bids. A very badly damaged 3500 body only with rear end damage. Described as having a number on the bulkhead of 12370. Only thought it would be useful for your collation of cars. Bal
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MASERATI-3500-GT-2-DOOR-BODY-AND-CHASSIS-SPARES-REPAIR-/120695657991?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1c1a059607 I BELIEVE THIS IS A MASERATI 3500 GT BODY WITH SOME CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION, I THINK IT IS TOO FAR GONE FOR RESTORATION. YOU CAN SEE THERE IS ACCIDENT DAMAGE TO THE BACK CORNER, THERE IS A SPARE CORNER IN THE VEHICLE, AND FOR SOME REASON SOMEONE HAS CUT THE NOSE PANELS OFF? I WOULD OF THOUGHT THERE IS SOME PANELS WHICH SOMEONE WOULD LIKE AS I DONT EXPECT YOU CAN BUY THEM ANYMORE BEING ALUMINIUM. ANY QUESTIONS CALL 01432 353606 OR 07977 447817 OR SEND MESSAGE. IF YOU WANT IT YOU WILL HAVE TO BE QUICK AS IT IS IN DANGER OF BEING SCRAPPED THE BODY NUMBER IS STILL ON THE BULK HEAD 12370 IF THIS HELPS
Interesting to see the 3500 Bertone prototype on the first page of this thread. Back around 1975, I was working as a mechanic in a service station south of Seattle (Federal Way) when a man came in and asked who owned the Lancia Appia parked outside. I was using it as a daily driver at the time. Seems that he had an Appia engine and transmission that he wanted to sell. The engine had been smacked with a hammer, like someone was angry at it (?), but the transmission was good - I still have it. Anyway, he told me that he owned the Maserati 3500 Bertone prototype, and I believe he told me that he was from Portland. Didn't get to see it, don't know why he would he would have said that if it wasn't true.
This photo was taken in 1959 at the first owners rallye called the Viareggio-rallye. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello, I am Marcel, the owner of 3500GT AM101.442. I happen to know that engine 101.136 is in the Netherlands, so that does not look very promising for the rest of the car.

and we complain about how our modern Maseratis hold value. down 50% in a year, 75% in two years? or was there a currency event with the Lira?
Well, don`t trust the Italians on money figures they have listed on official documents.....! I assume they paid more than the mentioned amounts. But on this "more" no tax was charged..... Ciao! Walter
....where #101.202 is today? The car was auctioned in April 2006 in the USA by WORLDWIDE GROUP. Ciao! Walter Image Unavailable, Please Login
