The plain jane "fi" is kind weak in its appearance IMO but the M "fi" is definitely a major step up...still not wild about the styling, but an amazing piece of machine none the less. Kinda like the Gayardo in that respect...awesome, but not the prettiest thing on the block.

 

seriously speaking, the m5 doesnt seem to be the HOT car that everyone wants. we all know how long the E46 M3 list was back in '00/'01 and how much premium some ppl paid.
i didnt even want the M5, so happen to stop by the dealer, just put myself on the list anyway, I was #6, called up another deal they also only had half dozen ppl on the list. the car will come out in oct, and i can get it in jan. i was expecting like 2 dozens, seems that the car is not that desirable for some reason.

 

I still think people are not completely sold on the look of the new M5, lack of a stick is a factor too I think. I had two E39 M5's, I have to drive the new one before I make a decision.
