Please elaborate further on California keeping records in perpetuity. I was under the impression that they only kept them for 10 years.

Ed Niles is of course correct that the California DMV keeps records for only 10 years. I was misinformed. Fortunately, in this case, the DMV wsa not a relevant resource, since God gave us Michael Sheehan.

I ran into Con's widow yesterday, and when I gave her the history of Con's old car, she was deeply grateful - tears running down her cheeks. And she told me a couple of great stories about Con in his TdF racing Mitzi Gaynor's husband's 340 MM Berlinetta on Mulholland Drive back in the day.

    So, thanks to all involved.

This is more evidence that old Ferraris are NEVER "no stories cars" - they ALWAYS have "stories" and, of course, that's why they command our affection.

In pennance for your mistake on the Cal. DMV, you must relate the stories, as told. ; )

Was 0753 GT used as the Paris show car with two tone (silver/red) paint?
Are there any pictures of the car from the 1957 Ferrari factory Yearbook?

Silver seems to have been a favorite for show cars. Although this is a Scaglietti, many of the PF one-offs/show cars were done in a very light, bright silver. I like it.

Silver has been the preferred color for automotive design development as it does the best at showing surfacing.

Ferrari 375 MM s/n 0402AM was also re-done as a berlinetta in silver with a deep red interior to very good effect.
